about the artist - Lorie Reilly
Since 2004, Lorie has devoted herself to the creation of traditional and contemporary mosaic art. Her art reflects a life-long interest in history, culture, and the decorative arts.

Lorie studied early mosaic history and techniques in Ravenna, Italy, and continues to develop her artistic style with references to the patterns and styles of many artistic traditions. Lorie finds inspiration for her designs in textiles, mosaic pavements, stained glass windows, botanical drawings, architectural details, and illuminated manuscripts.

Lorie has a degree in French Literature from Yale University and has spent most of her adult life working in scholarly and educational publishing.
